Our Story
Some of life’s most meaningful memories are made when we step away from our everyday routines and simply enjoy being together.
Growing up in New England, our family looked forward to camping trips several times a year. From the coastal beauty of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, to the mountains of New Hampshire and the peaceful shores of Sebago Lake in Maine, those trips became more than vacations. They became cherished family traditions filled with laughter, adventure, conversations, and moments we still carry with us today.
Those experiences planted a dream in our parents’ hearts: to one day create a place where other families, friends, and loved ones could make memories of their own.
That dream became A Southern Solace.
Nestled in the peaceful surroundings of Northeast Georgia, A Southern Solace was created with a simple purpose: to offer a welcoming escape where people can slow down, reconnect, and appreciate the moments that matter most.
What began as a family’s love for spending time together has grown into an opportunity to share that same experience with others.
We hope that when you visit, you leave with more than memories of a beautiful cabin. We hope you leave with stories worth sharing, relationships strengthened, and moments you’ll cherish for years to come.
